Bodega Mont Reaga

Mont Reaga, S.L.U. was founded in 2004 as a family project by the Gismero-Fernández family in keeping with the natural environment and high quality standards in cultivation.

Mont Reaga is not just a winery; it is emotion, passion and the dedication of an entire family and a team
of people to make a dream come true.

Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla

Mont Reaga is based in the province of Cuenca, between the towns of Mota Del Cuervo and Belmonte, a traditional vine-growing area in Castilla La Mancha, home to the “Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla” and the D.O. La Mancha. The estate is surrounded by a beautiful landscape of vineyards and cereal fields. A small river runs through this area, regulating the temperature in summer and, at the same time, creating a unique ecosystem in terms of fauna diversity.

Grapes

Mont Reaga produces 7 different grape varieties: CABERNET SAUVIGNON, MERLOT, SYRAH, TEMPRANILLO, SAUVIGNON, BLANC, VERDEJO and MOSCATEL which are grown in the vineyard surrounding Mont Reaga.

Climate

A continental climate with cold nights and warm summers, together with a small river that cools the vineyards, make the location of their winery an ideal place for growing vines, thanks to the fact that their vineyard enjoys the best possible sun exposure and ventilation. In addition, the versatility of their land has allowed them to introduce grape varieties, including French ones, which has helped them differentiate themselves from other wineries in the region.

Environmental impact

Mont Reaga is committed to preserving the environment. To this end, they have installed solar panels and accumulators to take advantage of solar energy as the main means of supplying electricity throughout the winery. They also have an evaporation base to which they send all the water, after filtering it. It has had the Carbon Footprint seal for many years.

Since 2016, Mont Reaga has been certified as organic.
